Disassembly Ainol Novo 9 Spark - replace broken touch screen

Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to try this repair.  A few tips I picked up:

1. Do the disassembly *before* you order the replacement screen.  It's easy to screw up the unit when you're taking it apart, so why waste the money on the screen until you know you have got it apart?  Find a box and put everything in it as soon as you have taken the thing apart so you do not lose anything while you're waiting for the new screen.

2. Use a hair drier to soften the glue on the old screen - it makes it easier to take it off.  Point the hair drier at the glass side and let it warm for 10 to 15 seconds.  Keep warming the next area of glass as you slowly move around the frame.

3. you can clean the old glue off the frame with a product such as "Sticky Stuff Remover".  I bought this is a stationary store in the UK, but I found an EBay link to show you the product.



And for Sotiris, I ordered a replacement screen from Banggood.com.  I only just ordered it, so I cannot say if it's a good place or not.  It won't arrive for a while yet.
