I find that it is easy to act heroic, it is much harder to act a villain, because everyone wants to be the one to save someone so humans are inclined to want to do that, no one wants to be the one that is scorned and look in real life, acters that play great villains are the ones that most often get death threats and the like, but that also shows how good the acter brought the villain to life.
