I hear a lot of people complain about paint on modern cars, but I believe a lot of the issues are caused by owners not maintaining it. I see plenty of MQ Tritons with clear coat failure, when was the last time the thing was washed and polished, if ever?

Bad thing #1 should be how 3rd gear in the manuals grenades. The issue was so bad that for almost a decade you had to wait months for the parts as they couldn't keep up world wide

The last two building companies I've worked for in Perth have run these. Since 2015 I've had 6 of them, and all have been bulletproof. My newest (August 2023) has been the only one which had to go for warranty work, an issue with the intake and a leaking output shaft. Makes me wonder if build quality took a dive once they got in bed with Renault Nissan?

From an european perspective I don't understand pickups. They are neither ideal for commercial nor private use. I can only image they make sense to own if you don't want a private car and a company car, but that is never the case in europe. Normally people buy commercial fiat, opel, vw cars which are cheaper and then have their private car.
