I bought a 2019 MR Triton from new it's a 6 speed manual, and I'm getting average of 7 to 8 litres per 100.
Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great review, very true about the AC, it’s freezing. I have a 2020 GLS auto, I love mine. GLS has bigger front brakes which make a big difference, never had a service issue from Mitsubishi.

I too own a 2019 MR Triton GLS Premium at 65, 000kms and I'd agree with everything Andrew has said, although I get on average better fuel consumption at about 9L/100km. I also own a 2006 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2L Diesel and its runs at about 10L-11L/100km. When I bought my Triton the only dual cabs that came close were an extra $10K-$15K for the same spec level. Best dual cab I've owned!

Great summary! I have a 2020 Fiat Fullback, which is identical to the MQ Triton. 5 speed auto 2.4 4x4. Brakes are great, although needed skimming and pads at 80k. Raw4x4 shocks sorted the suspension. Aircon is good, paint is crap, fuel consumption sucks, but it leaves more powerful utes for dead, and it's brilliant off-road. It was HALF the price of a same-year 2.8GD6 Hi-Lux. Love it, still can't believe the deal I got.

The best honest review by a Triton owner I have seen. Thanks so much for your vid mate, much appreciated. Great car but crap after sales service. Gotcha. 👍🍺

I've got an 2015 MQ GPS, 140, 000 k. Average 9l/100 km. Brakes and rear suspension great but are also very easily upgraded if you think you need to. Wonderful service from local Mitsubishi reps. It is indeed a wonderful car and I haven't changed the rims. NZ.

I've got a 2019 in white, glx with alloys so basically the same. It's now clocked up 80k and it's been bulletproof. For the money, it's a massively underrated vichele. Just missing those rear air vents!

Excellent review, good to hear from a real owner explaining the good and bad points, I hope you’ll give us a 120 or 150k.

"More rattles than a millionaire's baby..." 😆 That made my day. Awesome review! I'm from the Philippines and I just bought mine and just waiting for release. It's only the 4x2 GLS with a 6-speed manual (wanted a 4x4, but can't afford it just yet. That's the goal in the future.) so I've been watching a bunch of owner reviews. I know it has its flubs here and there, but for the price they're selling it, at least for the 4x2 model here, it's a damn good one considering it's part of the big 4 of Japanese brands for SUV/pickups (Nissan, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Isuzu). Glad I didn't push with the Maxus (LDV in Australia) because I've been reading a lot about rust issues. As for Ford, well, their base models (mainly stickshifts) are pretty cheap, but they're not exactly known for reliability here in the country. Anyway, great content. Keep safe and more horsepower to ya!

Have a 2021 model with 22k km, got it on August 2020. Same pros and con except for the fuel consumption. Although I put a snorkel and it gives me better consumption, anyway the car has been solid deal and an amazing ride. No regrets so far

Thanks for taking the time do do a quick review mate. I'm looking to upgrade next year from the trusty old 08 pajero 3.2L. Great to hear real life reviews as opposed to those from motoring journalists.

Awesome review
This is exactly the review I have been looking for. I am stuck between Dmax or triton. After this review it is edging out the dmax due to my work 2021 Dmax has been back to the shop 2x in 20k
I will be going white. As well unfortunately everyone i have spoken to about all new utes complain about the coloured water they call paint

I understood that there was a mid life upgrade to this model in 2019 which earned bigger front brakes (though maybe only the GLS) and a rear air circulator located on the roof which drives cold air from the front to rear passengers. It sounds like this Triton relates to the earlier, pre updated model. I have a 2021 GLS and so far no complaints at all.
