Why would microsoft make us suffer with this snap feature? Why did I have to look up a video on how to turn this off? Why does this video talk about how frustrating it is, yet not show us how to change it?

Truly unbelievable it took MS so long to implement this. On Mac Numbers you can move the sheet infinitely in any direction realtime smooth as butter. I would really LOVE to see who are the key people at MS on the Excel design/update team. They must never use it.

The smooth scrolling is finally revealed at 4:57 It's the scoll bar at the bottom right. Then use the arrows of the bar to snap to the nearest column if you want

I have been using Excel worksheets for years. Snap to grid scrolling has its uses but it can be annoying

Smooth scrolling is a huge improvement.

I am glad they left the snap to grid using the keyboard and made the scroll bar and mouse do the smooth scrolling

I'm on Office 365 and can't find where you turn on smooth scrolling. Large rows snap up or down and it's quite irritating.

Can anyone please clarify if this is only available in the Microsoft 365 edition, or whether it is also available in the Office 2021 edition of Excel. I just bought Office 2021, the Excel version is 2210, but I don't have smooth scrolling.

For some reasons smooth scrolling is still not working for me and I have updated to the most recent version of excel. Is there a setting I have to turn on somewhere to activate this feature?

This is great! I'm seeing about 50% capability on my system though. I'm using a Surface with Windows 10. When I use the keyboard's mousepad, I get smooth scrolling. When I use the scroll pad on surface mouse, it snaps to grid. If click on the scroll bar with the mouse, though, I get smooth scrolling. We'll see what the full update does!

Is there a way to disable this feature? It is painfully jarring when the smooth scroll "overshoots" frozen rows and columns, then snaps back. It is unpleasant enough that I go out of my way to use any spreadsheet editor EXCEPT excel.
