Bad game idea: It's a harry potter style game until about half way through, you find the mechanical wand and it's literally just a gun.

Most of the concept is pretty good but specifically the last idea of locking you into a route due to save data is AMAZING and I need a game like that IMMEDIATELY

I can already imagine the final cutscene. The camera glides behind the hero as if you're going to start playing as him and then some prompt shows up saying "Assume Control." (Could be a regular prompt that shows up before every mission to make the next thing more confusing or it could be a new prompt to serve as a warning.)

As the prompt is activated, the camera moves across the arena and behind the villain as it then lets you control him. Just then the hero starts attacking you, showing exactly what's about to happen as the entire fight is just a countdown to the inevitable.
