First off as always, I'm stoked to hear what you think of this mic! But also, holy cow how do people frame themselves when filming with the iPhone rear camera?! Apologies for the framing of some of those shots. That's tricky!

Looks like a good product for traveling and using a smartphone for creation. Even without the dead cat it seemed to handle the wind pretty well. Good price point for what you are getting. Thanks for the review.

Apple NEEDS to put AUDIO BARS in the camera APP while RECORDING VIDEO Button

Good for the price, but I'll stick with my Dji mic 2 it's far more customisable .. but then again it should be at nearly double the price of the Rode

Hmmmm, I wonder this or Hollyland Lark M2

The Hollyland Lark M2 blows away both the DJI and the RODE especially in sound quality, back in the day RODE was the new great thing but now its just not well made and sounds worse. DJI is good but not great and overpriced, SYNCO G2 (A2) much better choice than that for sure.
But the lark M2 at 115.00 EBAY for a complete system with awesome sound quality, noise cancellation is a no brainer
If 32 bit float is needed then use the zoom F2-BT connected out of the Lark M2 receiver, it works great. I use the Lark M2 connected to the F2-BT and then connected to my Lumix S5IIX for complete control with a backup and still having the ability to use different shotgun mics.
I have owned all and tested all of the above.

I think your audio was good and almost great for $150. I do like how you filmed it on the beach!

Would be great to get an audio test between this and the new DJI Mic Mini. Rode always seemed superior to DJI in audio, but the Mini being smaller is very attractive.

Great piece of tech! Can this directly connect via bluetooth with any of the major action cameras without the receiver?

Think they are really cool! I will not totally replace my Røde Wireless Pro with this, and not my DJI Mic2 that came with the OSMO Pocket 3 or the extra (white) DJI Mic2 that I bought for talents with white skirts. But, this could be really handy for some of my stuff. But maybe the white one is more useful? Or?

Can you plug this into the GoPro Hero 12 and up to see if it works with that?

How did tou calculate those 72 hours? Its 6h per charge and can offer 2 charges + 1 of the transmitter. So, 36h totally.

Great video. how does it compare with the DJI Mic 2 which can be used as transmitter only for $99? trying to buy one during black Friday lol

Just received mine, and the audio quality is fantastic—slightly better than my Lark M2. However, I'm disappointed that there's no way to update the firmware without a USB-C phone. Additionally, there's no option to purchase the Lightning connector separately, unlike the Lark M2. Another downside is that the case doesn’t connect to Rode Central. While I’ll be keeping them, I think these limitations are a significant oversight by Rode.

I’m on the market for a mic set, please do a comparison video with these little mics 🙏….. also will the rode micro hook up to an ace pro?

can you use the native iphone camera app or do you need to switch to black magic?

Hey man, why the black magic app? When it’s inserted into the phone, won’t it record in the normal camera app?
