Hiding behind an echo chamber won't save their game. A mass majority of people don't trust gaming "journalists" seriously anymore. Toxic positivity will be their downfall.

You are not allowed to criticize a narcissist!

In other words, only corporate shills are allowed to get review codes

just means any day one review will be BS

No game that is actually good would have its developers force only positive coverage.

All this did is confirmed what everyone thought that Veil Guard is a garbage game.

Funny that, not like it’s gonna help that trash.

I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you. I'm shocked that I couldn't be any more shocked that EA/BioWaste are being EA/BioWaste.

WolfheartFPS have been one of the most fair on his take of the game. He may not have a review code because of that but he has keep his integrity which wort so much more..

it's never is a good sign when they don't send review codes. They know the game is a bust and still want us to pay full price. So many SJW and DEI issues with these recent games

I'm guessing they think more people will buy it if they don't get any bad reviews? Good luck with that.

Getting tired of people and companies that preach diversity, but draw the line at diversity of thought and opinion!

It's almost like some people aren't given review codes because they don't want opinions that goes against their "virtuous" cause.

doesn't seem very "inclusive" does it?

Thanks to the inherently corrupt nature of access journalism and shoddy and/or ideologically biased development, I no longer buy new games. I wait to see if there will be GOTY or definitive editions of games and for them to go on a deep cut Summer Sale on Steam before I buy. Of the 500+ games I have, almost all of them were purchased at 75% - 90% off as a result of my patience.
This protects me from getting on board the hype train, gives devs time to hammer out all the inevitable bugs that will be present on launch, and gives me ample time to see all the pros and cons from more trustworthy critics on YouTube.

I'll be just saying this, since so much has been said already: If you are unsure to buy it, wait.
Look at reviews of all flavors including user reviews and wait it out, until you have substantial info.
Unfortunately that is the go to measure to be sure in this day and age.

It's par for the course. I wasn't touching this game no matter what.

Veilguard is safe from my money, Ubisoft doesn't need to worry about critics at this point.

How bout this for a negative review from a regular TOURIST : I wouldn't play Veilguard if it was FREE 😉

A now-positive review from someone who was originally critical, but changed their perspective after getting a review code, will sell a lot more copies of "Veilguard" than a half-dozen glowing reviews published by the likes of PC Gamer or Kotaku, who everyone knows will shill for anything that embodies "modern" politics.
