The Butterfly Effect is an alternative metal band from Brisbane, Australia, formed in 1999. The band released a self-titled debut EP in 2001, and then three full-length album afterwards; [Begins Here] in 2003, [Imago] in 2006, and [Final Conversation of Kings] in 2008. During this time, the band consisted of Clint Boge on lead vocals, Kurt Goedhart on guitar, Glenn Esmond on bass, and Ben Hall on drums. However, after struggling for years to work on a fourth studio album, Boge left the band in 2012 due to personal and creative differences. The remaining three have since recruited Brisbane-based singer Paul Galagher.

This is the first single without Clint Boge (previous lead singer) . Hope you enjoy! (:

I live and breath TBE, even had a tear in my eye at Clint's final live show last year. I believe if you are a true fan of the band, then you'll let them developed and strengthen, and find the pocket once again.

You think this is whiney?? The old Butterfly was just as whiney, but in a f*cking awesome way (of course). This guy has massive shoes to fill and he has a BOOMING voice, just like Clint did. These guys are absolutely great musicians!! TBE ftw!!

Update from 2020, Paul was dropped, Clint is back and are allegedly working on a new album.

Good things festival 2019 was ruled by these guys, every other band was shallow in comparison to the energy these boys displayed, whilst being one of the oldest bands there on the day

I quite like this, the band is clearly still ripping. Interesting to see how the new singer progresses. They chose him for a reason.

I 3 TBE. Yes Clint was/is one of a kind, this song sounds like the old butterfly effect. Bring on some live shows I say. This new singer sounds fine fine. .... will wait to hear him live before I even contemplate 'judging' him. CANT WAIT UNTIL Back when tbe, cog, karnivool, .hinge, dead letter circus.... used to share the stage was a special time.

I love when people act like making a lineup change is setting up a fucking funeral pyre for a band. This music is great.

i miss Clint's voice, but at the same time i really enjoyed this one!

They're gonna have to reinvent themselves - Clint gave a unique melodramatic whiny (but not bad/annoying) sound, so for a new vocalist they'll have to find other strengths / styles to play to. This sounds like a step in the right direction

I didn't know TBE had new songs. His voice is kind of strange in the beginning when compared to Clint's, but I liked the song. Do they have a new album?

Tbe ended with the departure of Clint. Hope to hear something new from him soon.

I really like the new singer, think he adds something different than what Clint did. Looking forward to hearing an album.

Would be great if they played this with Clint back in the band.

I like all previous TBE albums for various reasons, because they were all quite different. This song is pretty good, but reminds me more of Karnivool than previous TBE work. Not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose I'll judge a full album as a whole. As for the new voice...same thing, hard to judge on 1 song, but so far, sounds a bit more generic than Clint's
