Actually, accelerating at 1g would still take a long time to get to (very close too) light speed because time would literally start to slow down relative to an external observer.

Accelerating at 1g just feels like normal gravity, which is why Expanse spaceships are built like office buildings, with the engine at the bottom.

But anything much above 1g starts to feel like crap. At 2g you feel like you weigh double your weight. Probably at 1.5g or more, you probably can't really move around the ship. Much above 2g and you have to be in an acceleration couch. 6g would be *brutal*, especially sustained over a long period.

I fucking love this show. Its too bad it hasn't hit it off with the "casual" sci-fi crowd yet. The acting is so underrated. Beginning to think the show is too smart for a mass audience, but I like how the creators still have not "dumbed" it down yet.

Just going through the series now and your videos are must watch after I watch an episode. Funny enough you didn't really like this one and said that you didn't think it would be anyone's favorite and I have to say this one was a top 3 episode for me so far hah. I will say the one you like from last season (maybe episode 5?) is my favorite as well though.

Hey, glad to see you correct the acceleration thing. Not to be too much of a pedantic ahole, but I want to make sure about 1 thing that might still be an issue--if they're flying at a constant speed [velocity really], they're in free fall, 'on the float' I think they call it. 1g is what we experience all the time here at the surface of the planet.
