In this video, i will show you a TRICK all the Pros use to kill weeds.

Have you tried various herbicides, but nothing seems to be working effectively? Well, we have a solution for you! Adding ammonium sulfate to your herbicide can greatly enhance its efficacy and ensure that you kill all of those pesky weeds once and for all.

Ammonium sulfate is a chemical compound that is commonly used as a fertilizer due to its fast acting high nitrogen content. However, it also has another lesser known use, which is as an adjuvant for herbicides. An adjuvant is a substance that is added to a herbicide to improve its performance by enhancing its ability to be absorbed more effectively.

The benefit of using ammonium sulfate is that helps to reduce the pH of the herbicide solution. This is beneficial because many herbicides are more effective in acidic conditions, and the addition of ammonium sulfate can create the ideal pH level for the herbicide to work at its best.

It is worth noting that not all herbicides can benefit from the addition of ammonium sulfate. However, for many herbicides such as 24D, Dicamba, and Quinclorac, the addition of ammonium sulfate can greatly enhance their efficacy, making them more effective at killing weeds and reducing the likelihood of weed resistance.

In conclusion, adding ammonium sulfate to your herbicide can greatly enhance its efficacy and ensure that you get the best results when it comes to weed control. So, if you're looking to get rid of those pesky weeds once and for all, consider adding ammonium sulfate to your herbicide and see the difference for yourself.

2, 4-d is a synthetic auxin, as is triclopyr, quinclorac, dicamba, etc. Auxin is one of the hormones in the plant that regulate growth. It plays a large role in the ability for plant leaves to track the sun. By giving the plant an overdose of auxin is disrupts this process. Any high nitrogen source will accelerate that process. This is why it works especially well with group 4 herbicides. While the ph plays a small role here, there are more factors at play. It's a really good tip though and one usually only the pros utilize. 👍

I've been watching your channel as a new comer, watching you about two weeks. I learned a lot of new tricks and how to maintain a healthy yard. I had no knowledge of about herbicides and about yard care until I watch a few videos and subscribed to your channel. You are one of the very best!

Recently started a lawn care buisness. I have 60 accounts already. I do cuts, mulch, shrub trimming, also starting to get into doing fertilizations and spraying herbicides. This winter I want to get certified for turf spraying. I like this channel as is the content is to the point very quick and informitive videos. Also I recently used Q4 Herbicide for the first time. I got good results with it. It really takes about 2 weeks for it to really kill the weed entirely. I want try this method next time and see how it works. Thank you for the great content.

Love it this Video George. I have been using Gordon’s Weed and feed. And I have had some great results with it as long as I maintain a couple sprays a year. But it is in the Bucks for a 2 1/5 gallon container

Okay so what you didn’t mention is that when you use nitrogen with herbicides or even fertilizers is that when you’re applying them through foliar application the plant translocates the herbicide/fertilizer freely through the phloem of the plant as nitrogen does. So the plant does the work to move the herbicide freely up and down the plant. Always add a nitrogen source to any sprays. Urea and amino acids work great as well but if you need to pH down your herbicide then ammonium nitrate/sulfate will do it well! Using a wetting agent works to make your foliar applications stick so you end up using less herbicide which is more money in your pocket. Excellent video

Thanks for the great video. I have some patches of white clover, which I know is tough to eliminate. Would adding ammonium sulfate help kill the white clover?

So proud to be a subscriber and follower of you, George! I have only one weed in my lawn, POA, but TONS of it!!. I’ve watched every one of your videos and am preparing to spray a combination of Pyrex, quinclorac and ammonia sulfate to decrease ph. I will also add methylated deed oil. Do I also need to add surfactant if I use the seed oil? What are your thoughts? Would you use other ingredients or do it differently? I live in your area north of Chicago, so similar lawn. Thank you for such excellent videos and always replying!
