"A Spoonful Of Sugar" is a song from "Mary Poppins", the 1964 musical motion picture. It is an uptempo song sung by Julie Andrews instructing the two children to clean their room. But even though the task is daunting, with a good attitude, it can still be fun.

I used to try this as a child. I literally stood trying to snap my fingers in a certain direction, believing that any mess could magically start cleaning itself

It makes me sad and tearful at the thought of her suffering and trauma after losing her singing voice. Bless her heart.

This was the first movie Julie Andrews ever made, and she won an Oscar for it! Who else has won an Oscar in their first movie? She’s an absolute LEGEND.

I grew up in the 00's when elaborate visual effects in films were already a thing, but watching this movie as a little kid and seeing the bird sing and the clothes flying around was still mind-blowing. I can't imagine how magical this scene must have felt to a child in the 60's.

I literally cannot think of any other actress nor singer that is as beautiful, timeless, and classy as Julie Andrews. She also has a nurturing energy to her which is very rare combination of looks in Hollywood at that time and today.

3:00 I always laughed my ass off since forever. So funny. The physical comedy she does is underrated. Subtle but deadly.

As a 19 year old male who grew up watching Mary Poppins, it is still my top 3 favorite movies to this day. I always get so giddy yet emotional watching. It’s just an absolute masterpiece. Not to mention Julie Andrews is a literal angel.

2:48 to 2:59 When I was a kid, I'd not heard the word "hence" yet, and I thought Mary was saying "And hens..." meaning she was talking about hens (as in chickens) now.
