Hopefully no one breaks down and remember to always have a flashlight with you at all times blanket and water and the most important thing is to have a cell phone that is fully charged. Your taking a risk driving alone on a very dark road.

Drove up north in the New England area, and found ourselves on some roads like this. Could not believe it. I would not have thought roads like this were still around in the north. Then another time I was driving around Louisiana looking for a Hotel / Retreat and it was in the woods like this. It took forever to get there. I started getting scared and really angry at the same time.

Imagine in prehistoric times, prehistoric man and their families traveling in areas like this on foot in pitch darkness before man discovered fire. They are NOT only exposed to the elements and dangers of the outdoors but to the unknown.

I would love to drive down such roads. I have a Ford F250 6.7 liter diesel 4x4, locking diffs, skid plate package, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires, and 4 large LED driving lights on the front bumper that turns night into day. And of course, I'll carry a 12 gauge Remington VersaMax Tactical shotgun and my 1911 with several loaded magazines. Plus 2 or 3 powerful LED flashlights and spotlights in the vehicle for me to use outside the vehicle.
