Mary Lou was and still is my idol. ❤I am petite and the first time I saw her she inspired me..a petite person herself can be that amazing why can’t I. Thank you Mary Lou. I’m by no means as great as her but I got out of my shell I played basketball, volleyball played football in gym class …I was no longer that kid in the back I fact I was top five females to be picked on a team. Thank you!

Still today I watch Mary Lou Retton‘s vaults and her floor performance from 1984. That was the year I graduated high school and was getting ready to start college and she was and still is an absolute inspiration. Love you Mary Lou! ❤
