I’m an engineer with no interest in the biological sciences but this channel has converted me. It’s cold and wet outside so I binge watched your entire channel today, you’ve got a great video style and your guests are as great as you. Keep it up, you’re an inspiration!

OMG - I feel like I'm hearing what pure genius sounds like! How generous these guys are to explain, in plain and precise English, such unbelievably advanced, deep and complex topics. Astonishing how alike our bodies all are in such precise detail. Thanks for posting! :D

I’m shadowing a spinal neurosurgeon while in my undergrad and these videos have helped immensely when it comes to understanding the anatomical terms the neurosurgeon refers to. Thank you so much!

Hi doctors! I am a nurse here in UK and I just joined our spinal theatre team. I’m lovin it, but I am very new to it. I was a medical nurse hence I am unfamiliar with a lot of things, tho i know a lil bit of the basics. Thanks for your videos ! I hope you also do the procedures please! Bless you! 💕

Very interesting as a lay person who has had cervical and lumbar surgery . These videos are very informative helping to demystify the whole of neurosurgery and how conditions are treated . If I had access to these excellent videos it would have reduced anxiety before and after surgery
Fortunately the surgery at Kings College firstly for lumbar and then cervical completely cured my very severe pain and disability
The most worrying part before surgery was friends giving me horror stories about ending up permanently disabled after surgery because it was dangerous . As a patient the amount of investigations and re investigations before surgery was excellent ! Even if it included the dreaded Mylogram examination ( where dye is injected into the spine and you are tilted on a table - often resulting in a horrible headache 🤕)
Now aged 64 - had lumber surgery at 21 and cut tree down today with no
Problems ! Cervical surgery aged 44 completely cured arm pain - both operations amazing - housebound for nearly 18 months before lumbar surgery - completely cured by skill and dedication of the surgeon and great number of people supporting him or her ! Bravo and thank you so much 🙏

I am currently a junior in high school with the intent of becoming a pediatric neurosurgeon. While I live in the United States and our practices may be somewhat different, I have found this channel so helpful in understanding more about what it is actually like to be a neurosurgeon. Thank you so much Brainbook!

I've just been through 3-weeks of some kind of lower back injury that caused ED, urinary and fecal retention and a weird tingling sensation in my left leg, but I didn't have the intense pain (except for just 1st day). I went to the hospital immediately to rule out cauda equina syndrome and couldn't see any obvious problems with the spine. It's now the fourth week and I'm basically 90% back to normal. Over that period, I've come to appreciate spine health and so I've been doing a lot of research and just came across this cool channel going over something that is very relevant to me right now. Thanks.

Are spinal cerebrospinal fluid leaks challenging to find and fix? Can you do a video on intercranial hypotension?
Great upload

I have a question about surgery for disk protrusion (contained herniation of NP). When they cut off the annulus fibrosis (annulotomy) to release the nerve entrapment, wouldn't that make the disk more vulnerable to tear in the future? No one seems to talk about that.
