Honestly this makes sense and feels like it should just be official

this seems way more balanced tbh vagabond needs a nerf

Usually we play where you only gain infamy VP for removing non-warriors, but get +1 VP (2 total) per building/token they remove.

I really think that this second rule you told with the buildings is the actual one

The digital app doesn't implement this ... I just tried it, and it seems like a way too easy way to score point to just go after the cats and cut down everything.
With 3 swords, a cross bow and a cards like brutal tactics you'll quickly get to the wood stacks.
of course... being the Ranger helps to not care that much about what breaks in the heat.

Interesting, what have Leder Games said about this house rule, are they considering it?

what is your opinion on the other two house rules: Quest Refresher and Revised Quest deck in combination with Despot Infamy?

Do you think DI a heavy handed nerf that just feels justified because of how much people hated Vagabond?

This is about the most extreme perfect storm scenario for the vagabond. Not denying that the Vagabond is a strong faction, but you're overplaying it here. The balance in Root largely comes from the players interactions with each other. If you've spent the game watching a vagabond heavily arming himself and you've been building your clearings in an incredibly all-eggs-in-one-basket way, it's not really the game's fault you get destroyed like this. Other factions have ways of scoring 8+ points in a single turn if they've gotten to such an advantageous state as well.

The majority of the problems people experience with vagabonds is they ignore the vagabonds too much until they suddenly realize they shouldn't have. They treat them like they are harmless until they aren't, and then it's too late. Beat the crap out of vagabonds whenever you can.

You could just play with two vagabonds or Lord of the Hundrends to balance the vagabond

I have a doubt with this rule, if VB attack a non-hostile faction and eliminates 2 warriors, does it get points by Despot Infamy (it turns to hostile caused by this attack, but in original game you only get 1VP because the first warrior eliminated doesn't count points and counts for turning to hostile)? if VB only eliminates 1 warrior, I supose he doesn't get any VP because this warrior provokes hostile status and no VP

Am i missing something? I thought that the swords were exhausted after being counted in battle - if i roll a three and have three swords, all three are exhausted. Is that incorrect? How could you roll a three and then battle again, unless one battle = one exhausted sword.
