At around 4:00, shouldn't vp be defined as a linear combination with different constants (instead of a1, a2, ...a(p-1)), so maybe use c1, ...c(p-1) ? By the way, your videos are great!!

At 11:26, you conclude that the basis is {v1, v2} but considering the very definition of a basis being linearly independent, if you take v1 and v2, they have only 2 pivots in an R3 space so doesn’t that make them linearly dependent thus not being a basis?

in 11:40, how could the set of vectors be linearly independent and have an equation 4v1 + v2 + 3v3 = 0 ?

In the example at 7:00, V3 = 2v2 - v1 and so V3 is dependent but can’t the same expression be written as V1 = 2v2 - V3 thereby making V1 dependent too?
