Growing ginger outside for the first time in a pot similar to the one in your video. In California (Bay Area), so no more frost in my area. Just waiting for first sprouts. I've had homegrown ginger from a friend. You are right...so much better than store bought!

I’m growing ginger for the first time this year in my all-out effort to hit the arthritis with everything I can grow that will help either to eat or to use to make medicine. Finally saw my first shoot yesterday after what felt like forever. I’ve heard when planted out that these do best in long shallow containers, would you agree? I’m scouting out what container to set aside when it finally comes time to put it outside.

Also love the nail polish. Blues are my favorite.

Yeah it looks more appealing to grow after seeing your video and how to transplant it 👍🏻 I have never grown ginger before myself. Just getting started with the basics for now 😀 one of my goals this year is to grow tomatoes, chillies and coriander to make a Thai curry so ginger would be a great addition, thanks for posting 😀
