Weight bias, stigma, and stereotypes about obesity can negatively impact the lives of people with larger bodies across settings, including health care. Dr. Phelan will present research on the impact of weight bias on care quality, clinical decision-making, and outcomes as well as factors associated with health care provider attitudes and behavior towards higher weight patients.
