I just made Apricot Jam like this but I used a crock pot to cook for 4 hours on high. I put the sugar and lemon juice all in at the beginning. It turned out great and I did not have any foam to clean off when it was finished. I also used a blender and put in all the fruit after it was all cooked and got a smooth jam. I used a crock pot because that is how I made Peach Butter last year.

As a diabetic my go to sugar is Monkfruit sugar, it tastes like sugar, no after taste, and it doesn’t spike my blood sugar. I will definitely do an apricot jam but in a slow cooker. Thank you for sharing your video with us.🙏♥️

The ital is vital and the vital galore. The Itals made jack fruit jam when I stayed with them in 84 in the parish near the cockpit country. Used sugar cane juice in place of sugar

the amount of sugar surprised people. don't be surprised. the jam is spread on bread and eaten. jam comes in very small portions in Turkish breakfasts and it is spread on bread in small amounts. sometimes you confuse it with Turkish cream (kaimak).

Way too much sugar! I think I'll try it at 1/3 the sugar listed.

For a full bodied flavour use raw sugar ( non white) more traditional, better tasting..

Thank you for this demo. I honestly would not put that bulk of sugar in my jam! 😨😂

I need some pro tips here if someone can help:
1. If I don't use sugar at all, can I still extract the juice out of the apricot by simply resting it for a couple of hours? If I can't, is there any substitution to sugar?
2. Is constantly stirring the pot while cooking necessary?
3. If I choose not to put in any sweetener, will it taste really bad or simply "taste like apricot". I think something would probably change during the cooking process to change the taste but I'm not so sure which direction it's about to go.

A teaspoon of butter will prevent the foaming....

I just bought 30 lbs, could be a bit riper. Do I make them all at once for jam?

i would have used 2/3 thirds sugar. 3kilo fruit 2kilo sugar, You can also multiply by two first and then divide your result by three. best sugar ratio 4 strawbrys.

The problem now is where to buy fresh apricot in the Philippines
You can find dried one in artisan / delicatessen shop in Manila and cebu and even apricot jam but I’d like to make own my own
So that I can assure that everything there are all natural no preservatives or any chemical added nor additives too
