I want to share the recipe for dried apricot jam

Ingredients:
600 grams of dried apricots
5 cups of water
6 cups of sugar (1050g)
1 teaspoon of butter
1 teaspoon of lemon salt
Juice of half a lemon
Note: it is much better if you wet the apricots the night before and cook them the next day.

I made this recipe and I like it verry much. The only difference is that I chopped the appricots in smaller pieces and I added less sugar. I was pleased of the final result. And as you said is verry delicious. Thank you for shearing.

Will the colour be the same after boiling in water?

No! Just soften the Apricots and mash up for a spread, they are fine without sugar maybe some honey to get a more jam like consistency
