Just so that it is clear, Mumbai is a costly city to live in. The rent that some of these ladies pay is more than a lot of our salaries. So they have basically achieved the dream of many young adults in our country, to live in a metro city as an independent woman. More power to them!

As someone who no longer lives with their parents, I have to say that there is NOTHING shameful about still living with them at all, as long as you are a helpful member of the household (pulling your weight in housework, maybe paying rent, etc). It’s an excellent way to say money and honestly it’s better for the environment to have people sharing their space. Plus if you have a good relationship with your family it’s awesome to have them in the same home!!
So for all those people who still live with their parents, don’t feel ashamed! Just make sure you aren’t taking advantage of your parents. If you’re living rent-free and never help clean, then yeah you should be ashamed of yourself. If you’re helpful, then there’s nothing wrong :)

I like this one, it is different than always seeing New York, L.A, London, Paris. I mean, we have seen enough of those! Let's discover different places!

Me and my friend live in a rented room in Mysore, India paying Rs.3800 a month. That's Rs.1900 per person!

I love that these girls showed their apartments without making them look like living pages from an Interior Designer's magazine. Makes me as a normal person connect to it.

Sasha, your place has a lot of character! You may joke about being broke for that place but trust me it’s a luxury to have that space.

People putting "roommates" in inverted commas, lol, they're not a couple. It is very common to share bed with same sex room mate

If you’re paying 90k a month in rent, might as well pay that as emi and buy your own place. Wtf. This isn’t representative of the rent situation in India at all.

“I’m crying less. I set boundaries.” These are things I’m working on too! You have a friend in Texas if you ever want one girlie! ❤️

"I'm crying less" -- gurl, same.

I LOVED this video and desperately want more like this: anywhere in Africa, the Middle East, or South East Asia would be great.

I'd love to see apartments in a Caribbean country, or in South America- Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay. Or in Africa - Botswana, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa.
