👉 Learn how to take the derivative of a function. Learn how to find the derivative of a function using the chain rule. The derivative of a function, y = f(x), is the measure of the rate of change of the function, y, with respect to the variable x. The process of finding the derivative of a function is called differentiation. There are various methods of finding the derivative of a function including, direct differentiation, product rule, quotient rule, chain rule (function of a function), etc.
Differentiation is used to solve real-life problems related to change in one variable with respect to another variable. It is used to solve related rates of word problems.

Hello! Great video, just a quick question:

Since we have a 45 degree angle, can't we use cos(θ) to calculate the hypotenuse (at that moment)?

cos(θ(t0))=adjacent (t0)/hypotenuse (t0)

cos(45)=500/h
h= 1000/√2 ft

then using sin(θ)=opposite(t0)/hyp(t0)

op(t0)=sin(θ)*1000/√2

op(t0)'=1000/√2*cos(θ)*θ'=
1000/2*0.14=70ft/min

What am I missing here? Thanks in advance 😊
