Both of the models sound perfect for video editing on a laptop or iPad. If you are willing to stick stuff to your laptop, a lot of people Velcro them onto the back of the screen so that it is not dangling from the ports, which becomes less viable the bigger the drive!

I used sandisk for my video games and it works perfect. I never knew that I could play my games using external hard drive with no issues

I have only one gripe with this SSD: no status light to tell the user when the SSD is being used! This is very handy when using it with say an iPad, as there is no option to eject the SSD from the iPad OS. Basically, there is no way to verify whether this SSD is in use or in idle mode.

A bit confused, I thought the new M1 macs having USB4 with 40gbit/s support meant they could cover the 2000MB/s speed of a USB3.2 Gen2x2..
