This may be a dumb question but are they done in the one sitting? For example if I want to do a whole body workout using multiple machines, if I use one machine to do 3sets of 12, do I do all of those sets at the one time with small rests in between or rotate through the different machines 3 times? Also how long typically are the rests between each set?

one of our gym instructor used terminology of 15-12-12 reps, now I don't know what he means and I'm kinda embarrassed to ask him can anyone help please? and also just on side note the exercises he stated was bodyweight box squats, so this exercise doesn't even have weights.

what if I have several exercises in a session: do I finish the three set of an exercise, and then move to the next? Or do I finish one set of one, then one set of another and so on until I complete three sets of everything?

Can someone explain the reps/sets to me? I understand that I’m supposed to do 3 sets of 12 - 15 reps, but how do I know how many reps to do in that range, and at what point do I go for for form failure? Am I doing more than 3 sets or am I trying for form failure on the 3rd set? How does this work???

Example: you did 1 set and some reps, you get new set with random reps but there's between sets pause, pause can be longer for your needs or predicted by instruktor (never was in gym thats just phylosophy of mine)
