My health was failing so much I had to eventually accept I was in an abusive relationship. I had told no one for thirty years but I am now free and everything in my life is improving 🙏❤️

I never understood how much manipulation, gaslighting, brainwashing, ect.. I went through till I got out. Instantly my brain started scanning everything and I’m realizing how much I am trauma bonded to him. I hate him for hurting me and I’m at peace with his absence because I know I deserve better but I can’t stop thinking about him, the abuse, the regret. I’m so hurt that someone can be so evil

Again, spot on. I broke away from a narcissist 4 days ago. I'm living in a hell right now... thank you for this. Especially the part about stress and how to heal my body. My stress is insane right now!

1. Educate yourself about trauma bonds: you have been ABUSED. 2. Instead of blaming yourself, get 2 sheets of paper and write all the wonderful things, then on the other sheet write the TRUTH. When you miss them, look at the page with the TRUTH. 3. Start talking about these things with a professional. 4. Calm your nervous system with nature, massage, Reiki, whatever. 5. Start taking care of yourself, put yourself first, eat alkaline based foods (green vegetables) because long term exposure to adrenalyn and cortisol has big negative long term heal effects. You can do this!

If getting out & enjoying nature is difficult for anyone in winter, hanging a bird feeder or two outside your window can be a miraculous thing... ❤

Thank you for explaining that no matter if I had been different, reacted different, communicate different, it would have not changed the outcome. I still have a difficult time with the what if

When you accept them the way they are, you are loving them. They use that indicator of love you have for them against you by capturing you and then treating you however they want because they think you're not going anywhere now.
Prove them wrong & prove to yourself, be strong enough to break free and don't tolerate their real behavior that's bad.

Thank you! Now I understand why I gained 50lbs (which my abusive ex took many opportunities to shame me for my weight gain and triangulate me against other women who had flat abs)

He would do this through cruel jokes and statements such as…"You’ve been saying your going to lose weight for a long time, “ …lost weight and she’s really in shape" I kept failing on all my attempts to lose weight while I was romantically involved with him. I also suffered from insomnia feeling anxious all the time amongst many other negative things while I was in my narcissistic abusive relationship.

After going no contact my weight is dropping, I’m getting good sleep and my skin is glowing. I know my life is moving in the right direction now and I’m thankful for that. ❤🎉🙏💅🏿

I was just discarded by her, when I for the first time in a year where I called her out - i tried to tell her she doesn’t empathise with me and it hurts . She reversed it and put the blame on me that I’m the person who is a monster and I have issues. I couldn’t be myself at all because anything I do was wrong.

A year of appearing and disappearing from my life and today I’m actually relived it’s over now. I’m glad this happened in this season of my life - learnt a lot .

Looking forward to healing and starting the new season of my life stronger!

I love you Anoushka, you are the reason I had this gift of redemption. God bless you and your work has been a great encouragement. Thank you 🙏🏽

What if we've been broken up for over 2 years? NO CONTACT, but I struggle with the trauma bond and rumination. 😷

I shall be watching this several times. I am so trauma bonded with my ex. He really did a number on me. Left me almost 10 months ago now and I think about him constantly. I am doing all of the things you mention, struggling with them, but trying. I am in therapy now, had to go private, but, it is helping.
I suspect that for me, this trauma bond will never be gone.
I'd take him back in a heartbeat if I could.

This video is fantastic and so needed. I can't get rid of this bond no matter how much I try. I can't stop thinking that he's treating his new girlfriend much better and it was me who was the problem. He never apologized for anyting he ever did wrong because he thought he was perfect. That fake relationship has forever changed me. 😢

My adrenals were trashed before she did the discard, because she was constantly cycling from love bombing to devaluation and since the discard sleep is completely destroyed.

She put her hands on my chest and told me she was going to protect my heart. In a way she did. Much stronger now

He left me after 9 1/2 years because, he says I need to sort myself out but it was more like a stepped away for 2 months thought things would of changed I felt the best I've felt in years but within 2 weeks of seeing him again my anxiety was bad he put me down stopped making an effort with seeing me so when I wanted to talk about it he's now left me....
3 days out and my anxiety has almost gone I still have moments when I think of him but I now know he's not healthy for me and brought out the worst in me
