Why are some of these actually pretty good design wise (minus the GOOFY helmets and capes) its crazy how accessible these are!

I hate when YouTubers like this buy these knock off figures misrepresents prices quality and danger then they proceed to absolutely slam them and then they act like Lego is the absolute perfect model of the universe and has never done anything wrong and it's existence.

As LEGO are too lazy and dumb to offer their customers what they want, i really don't see the problem with these. Yes the quality may be lacking, but they at least exist for those people that want them.
Also LEGO should be better quality, you are paying a lot more money for what is supposed to be a premium product, and if we are honest here, LEGO's quality is getting worse all the time, scratched parts, constant errors in instructions, poor minifigure printing etc.

i would actually be happy to call these "customs" rather than knock offs

Feel like it’s reaching for a lot of this. Just hating some are actually decent and Lego is over priced at times. Saw good points about clone army customs being accepted though. Just don’t get it

Ok a solid amount of these are actually really good (besides some of the helmet print alignment and looseness of the pieces) and the galactic marine is actually incredible, along with the bad batch (besides tech of course)

Some of them actually look better than the real ones

I would call these figures knock offs because what separates them from a brand like clone army customs? You may not like it but the existence of these custom figures creates supply to meet the demand. If Lego isn’t going to create characters and when they do they cheap out on the mold or the print, then we need company’s that create custom figures to hold Lego accountable. I think this is good for the Lego community in the end it could put some pressure on Lego to make better figures at cheaper rates!

The dark side of the lego community is a pathway to many abilities, some would consider to be... unnatural

Knock off clones are a mixed bag, but they’re still better than spending a hundred dollars for 10 generic clones. When I could pay the same for 100 of these. Plus the ones that I’ve seen come with both a DC15A and a DC15S blasters for each mini fig, not these weird drills.

But I will say you should absolutely use knock offs when building your droid army. You can get 40-50 droids (mixed super and regular including standard blasters) for around 40 dollars.

All this being said make sure you check the reviews and not do a big purchase at first. Test it out and see with like a 10 dollar purchase. These “knockoffs” have come a long way, and I’d be glad if they can get as good as the real deal in the next few years.

The argument of intellectual property doesn’t work because all of the customs sites don’t have rights to the products. While the workers making them likely don’t really have good working conditions, but the people at CAC don’t have the rights either. It’s illegal for both of them. On the topic of paint I’m pretty sure there’s a video on it saying they’re safe. I completely understand the concerns though :).

You throw on some CAC helmets, LEGO helmets, and some blasters, and BOOM.

I mean, if you feel for the fakes...

Man, they look great. I'd by them all day long, especially considering the price. Put them side by side with the real thing and you really can't tell much difference. I love how you don't want to put the chest armor on because you think it looks dumb, then complain when the pauldren doesn't fit right.

I once bought a 21 pack of fake Lego 501st clones they looked like arc trooper without the accesories they are still in really good condition

Still better than paying 90 dollars a piece for CAC ( that's how much it costs you in Australia )

I don't really care about the intellectual property because lego, Disney, and Lucasfilm are worth billions of dollars but a big issue is quality, whether it be the printing or plastic quality and like you said....chemicals. some are worth it. Some aren't. I have a few fakes and replaced the heads and the helmets with CAC ones and the plastic is ok. I'm looking to replace them in the future.

Personally I really like custom figures. Specific ones are on a completely new level than Lego ways in certain ways with details and especially custom molds and custom weapons. For instants the custom republic commandos. Custom figures are way more affordable and it allows you to get stuff that Lego would never make. I also love genuine Legos but if you’re trying to build a specific type of collection then there’s no other choice
