As Americans we really need to have higher standards.

Whether rich or poor we all deserve this kind of quality from our low budget grocery stores

I would LOVE to know how cooking overseas compares (price wise, quality wise, accessibility wise) compares to eating out/street food/convenience stores. Probably a bit niche, but I would love to see Inga explore whole food cooking in the various countries she visits!

I’m Japanese and I’m so happy that you enjoyed the food from 7-11 in Japan🥰
Kara-age(唐-揚げ) originates from the dynasty of China(唐) and it brought to Japan in Nara era. “揚げ” means “fried” in Japanese so Kara-age(唐揚げ) literally means “fried chicken(in most cases) from China”.😂
I know that Kara-age tastes different from Chinese fried chicken but I like both of them.☺️

Hope you coming back to Japan soon!❤

your explanation of the food taste is so real like me being from outside of the US who usually couldn't relate when other youtubers give US-foods-reference, like i can imagine how the taste is now, also love the chill vibe!

I haven't been to Japan in over 15 years, but this video makes me want to go back soon. 7-Eleven in Japan is the best.

Yakipan, the yakisoba in a roll, is a super common food in Japan. Very popular with the high school kids.

7-11 in Japan: Let's go!
7-11 in the US: Let's ... keep going and find something good.

Just got back from Japan 3 days ago, watching your video makes me miss all the great things at Konbini Stores! The sounds, the food, the people, the experience 🥺

7-11 probably has the best overall selection of food among all the konbinis in Japan. FamilyMart's probably the best in terms of the fried food (Famichiki, Korokke). Lawson has the best desserts (roll cake, mochi).

I miss Japanese convenience stores!!! I wish our convenience stores here in the U.S. were like these...
And I can't blame you for buying so much! They have so many delicious options! When I went back to Japan for a visit after 4 years, I definitely bought a lot more than I intended when I just wanted dinner lol. Glad you got to stop by and enjoy :)

7:32 i went to school in the Philippines, and one of the school stores they literally only serve instant noodles (choose your flavor), white bread, and a fried egg. And for breakfast, a roll of pandesal and noodles is a staple. :) i think it's just the salty-umami flavor of noodles that goes so well with unflavored bread 😊

Why can’t 7-Eleven be like this in the US? This looked delicious. Thank you for sharing and I hope you had a lovely trip!!!

That all looks so good - I love how much you were enjoying each item. I'm impressed at the egg sandwich ratio too, I thought it was going to be fuller in the front and less in the rest of the sandwich to make people buy it but it was actually filled well throughout. These prices are good too, wish we had convenience stores like this
