Never Ever “Cut” the tie wrap. It leaves a super sharp edge that can absolutely cut yourself against. ALWAYS twist off the access link on the tie wrap.

This is an absolute finger saver but i dont think it will affect the casting distance for an experienced angler.

The only con in my opinion is when the trigger fail it will definitely break your rod with the casting force.

This guy paid 39 bucks for that okuma bionic finger. I got the Chinese ones for 2 bucks and had them for years.
