The reason this happened is because Real Madrid won back possession, and in that certain situation you cannot use V.A.R so referee’s couldn’t spot it, and even if V.A.R was allowed use, the sidelines do not have cameras, so they would’ve had to suspend the match to check their 3D technology, and offside also didn’t get added because the placement of the defenders, also as how Real Madrid couldn’t have had advantage because the non-spotted out.

PS: we also won 4:0 in the second leg, so Real Madrid having a extra goal would’ve only made it 4:1 and would’ve still lost.

If the play had stopped then no goal would score. The players stopped playing for about two seconds which is a lot of time to make a good or bad decision. Also city was on the attack which means Madrid was defending. In defense players can be frantic and more focus on the job ahead so camavinga would be calmer if he ha received the ball from a throw in than retrieving it from defending with such little time make the right decision. He would have not been in that position and neither would the city players who then intercept his pass so yes the ball out of play was a major fault in Madrid losing. In fact in that position where the balm went out it would have been Eduardo Camavinga the LB who would be the man taking the throw in so that mistake wouldn’t come from him and it is hard to assume that it would come from anyone else
