this song & the scene itself reminds me so much of how my husband proposed to me on September 21st, 2019! Although he didn’t sing or have a guitar, the proposal was exactly like the scene from the episode! A romantic picnic at sunset on the beach! This song is beautiful and super sweet and I love it so much, BUT I noticed how the whole premise of the song is Steven literally wants to be Stevonnie FOREVER like Garnet. And this has been Stevens first ever relationship and that’s entirely common for teens relationships but he literally doesn’t know who he is or what he’s doing or whats going on unless he’s Stevonnie unless he’s with Connie he’s so traumatized and unsure of who he is because of the things pushed on him from his mother that he doesn’t know who he is he just knows who all the gems and people in his life expect him to be his mom and it’s crushed me so now I gotta tell y’all
