everyone’s knocking barrett’s vowels and i know this is a broadway show but i think this song in particular was meant to have a more punk/alt sound, and a lot of bands in those genres warp their vowels like that. plus it’s fun to sing it like that even though i know it isn’t “proper” technique (i like to practice both ways)
