'Greta Thunberg Arrested After Disrupting London Oil Summit'.

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg on Tuesday joined hundreds of climate protesters demonstrating outside a meeting of oil and gas companies in central London.

The industry leaders were meeting for the Energy Intelligence Forum at the InterContinental Hotel in Park Lane.

Representatives from companies including Shell, Total and Equinor are attending the three-day conference.

Speaking during the protest, Thunberg said people "all over the world are suffering and dying from the consequences of the climate crisis caused by these industries."

Thunberg inspired a global youth movement demanding stronger efforts to fight climate change after staging weekly protests outside the Swedish Parliament starting in 2018.
