You must be in one of the more civilized parts of the world.  Here in Florida, I had to call 23 motels before I found one that had free wifi.

I forgot also could this nano find the main hotel hub and I could connect wirelessly from my room then and how would that work I mean passwords etc for the nano and the hotel hub etc and would I still have to pay I am so confused

I just got a computer that does not have a wifi card. So I got a wifi adapter but it just stopped working. Could I use this instead of the wifi adapter and use it with the Ethernet cord? Would my internet speed be at least decent?

I have most of the rooms in my house hard wired with Cat 5E. In my home office I have a 12 port switch and all the devices that can be connected hard wired are. I have an Echo Dot which is strictly WiFi and so is my phone which the Echo keeps dropping the signal and so does my phone. I just ordered this unit off Amazon, so hopefully by Friday I will know if this unit will resolve the drop issue. I have 1 gig a bit fiber connection going to the house, so no bottleneck there. What do you need to configure to make the ethernet port on the router as the source for your wired PC?

The conductors in those flat ethernet cables is typically stranded 30 AWG.

Please help me as I am a layman. I am going to a hotel in Portugal in 2 months which has limited wi fi only in the reception  and bar areas but i read that a guest connected to a wired internet access using a wall socket in his room not sure what type of socket but he got free internet aswell no pay wow and he used this nano device but he didnt say how exactly. i mean if there is an ethernet in the wall then would I connect a cable from this to the nano and then connect wirelessly from my laptop right Would my laptop find the nano and how would I avoid the hotel charges. secondly what if no ethernet but just a normal phone socket so then how would I connect then like maybe an ethernet /telephone adapter help thanks

Can this device works as follows? I want a internet repeater. So a device i plugin to eletric outlet, catches wireless my wifi signal (connects wireless to my modem) and sends outs (repeats) this signal.
I only see movies of this device with a ethernet cable plugged in. Also in this video an example is given when you have a wired cnnection far from you modem you can plug in this device a use it as a reapeter. I dont want to use cables to repeat this signal. I understand i have to connect the TP-link device once with the ethernet cable with my modem to make a connection, but after this i want to put in electic outlet only and use this advice as a stand alone repeater. Is this Possible?
