The rule of thumb is the larger the pincers the less venomous the scorpion is meaning some of those Scorpions can KILL a full grown human in a matter of hours if no medical attention is given, the PAIN is excruciating people will wish they were dead long before the venom actually kills them, symptoms can vary from paralysis to hallucinations to a rapid heart rate which INCREASES the speed the venom is pumped through your body, and ultimately some Scorpion venom is severe enough to cause ORGAN FAILURE over a prolonged period of time.

Yep, the stingers on these lil guys are venom delivery tools. They're over-feared, but under loved.

The Chameleon.. that's just a really long and super sticky tongue. ^_^

(also loving the use of BMG from the game Loop Hero in this guys vid. xD )

One thing TierZoo neglected to mention is that scorpions don't just lose their primary weapon if they lose their stingers. A scorpion's tail is also where its anus is; without it, it's death by constipation.

Don't forget to include fiber in your diet!

I am so happy that our learned mister has finally gotten to Tier Zoo. This is the best mash-up since "you got chocolate in my peanut butter "

As a pest control technician in Las Vegas, yes, scorpions are OP lol

Lol your reaction to seeing the chameleon was funny, can't wait for you to watch a video on them. That type of chameleon uses its tongue as a sticky harpoon and their conical eyes move independently of each other and look can look in all directions. So it can look backwards and forwards at the same time.

A reusable stinger isn't unlimited. Most venomous creature keep enough venom in reserve for at least a few attacks, but it takes time for their bodies to generate more. IIRC, biologically speaking, most venoms are somewhat expensive to generate.

The stinger is poisonous. Common wisdom holds that the smaller the claws are, the deadlier the stinger will be.

Tier Zoo, Ze Frank, and Lindsay Nicole are all excellent animal channels. I recommend watching the Tier Zoo on humans, but honestly, they're all great.

I highly recommend Ze Frank's video about Koalas. First, remember to listen to the end to hear a musical surprise; and Second, be aware there will be cursing you might want to bleep out. He's hilarious.

3:17 had a sucker from a trip to Flagstaff, Arizona in the US with a Scorpion in it and surprisingly little flavor... until you get to the claws, my God it's like dirt and coffee. (I hate coffee)

Keep watching tierzoo 👍 lots more to learn lol.
And yes a scorpion sting on a human is pretty rough. Potentially lethal in some cases.

I live next to the woods in the south so small scorpions are not uncommon to work their way into a house...that's one reason I have glue traps down...the other being small mice and other bugs like roaches and spiders. Because of the fact random bugs can make their way in through vents and the like I wear hard bottom bedroom slippers around the house at all times when going from room to room. This actually happened to save my foot one night as I went to the kitchen for a drink..didn't notice anything in the low light I was using but come morning with sunlight through a window I see a smushed scorpion...I had stepped on it during my walk and my hard sole bedroom shoes had crushed it without me even noticing as I was half asleep and didn't hear a crunch. I used to walk around without those bedroom slippers as I liked the feel of cold tile on my feet during the hot summers of the south...I changed that up as I got older and realized the kinda critters that can slip in during the night.

9:00 Bees can sting other insects and keep moving.
Its just Mammal skin makes it get stuck. Also spiders can inject venom infinitely like scorpions... its really just some bees vs mammals that do that

I used to have a cat that was a scorpion Slayer. He would toy with them and eventually kill them. He never got stung one time.

as a person who has been stung by a scorpion I can firmly say you don't want it to happen to you. it is one of the few things I can remember happening to me and it was over 35 years ago. it's more like getting stung by the whole wasp nest instead of just one

7:04 WELL ACHCHCHCUALLY

They're venomous. As a general rule, anything that pierces and shoots venom inside the target is venomous, think some species of spiders, bees, snakes etc. Poisonous refers to animals that hurt you when ingested, think pufferfish, some toads, frogs etc.

just a short bit of info: the S-Tier are mainly humans and animals that don't beef with humans.

I was working in my shop the other night and one (scorpion) fell off the ceiling onto the table in front of me, now I'm super paranoid.
