I love the voice over.

It lets us soft handed folks appreciate the champs even more. God damn you guys are some tough buggers.

This is how you do it. Good camera work, solid voice over and they combine to tell a story. If Hollywood could do this consistently I’d buy a ticket to see a movie.

My nephew will not see sunlight till the end of January and they have to shut down operations when a Polar Bear comes around. That's how they do it in the Artic Circle.

"Now we're gonna trip it out". The most dreaded statement on the rig floor. 😂😂

I work for a crane service and we move oil rigs. It's cool to see what they actually do because all I get to see is it all getting taken apart and put back up in a new location for new drilling. It's always a mess though. My house smells like oil base weekly

So it’s still hard work but when I did it in 2000-2004 we used spin chain, Kelly and rotary table.

We laid the pipe sideways by pushing it to the v deck and ripping open the elevators. The pipe would soar down crashing into a back stop reinforced with an old tire. The guy down below would straighten it a quick as possible and hand roll it into the racks . Brutal all the way around . Rig technology has come so far lol. We used to say , “ isn’t it the year 2000, why are we still working like this lol?”

I think this is the first rig I've ever seen use an actual forklift instead of a loader with forks

Use to make a lot of this pipe working at US steel and tubular. It’s damn crazy to watch it be threaded and capped and see it make its way to the patch💪🏿

As someone who works for an oil refinery in SoCal, I am so happy to finally see some upstream content where people are wearing PPE. It is insane to me that there are people posting videos of themselves working in basketball shorts with lit cigarettes in their mouth.

In 80s we called it, piping the v door.
We used 3 pipes for stands in old days

Those canrig/pragma catwalks are great, why aren't they using hydraulic elevators and HYD/slips?
