From Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2 Triple Check and I hiked around 57 miles on the west side of the Collegiate Loop going south from Cottonwood Pass.
This was Day 1. We started to clear blue skies at 8:00am and hiked 15.1 miles from Cottonwood Pass heading south to the North Fork of Chalk Creek at Tincup Pass Road. We arrived in camp at 6:30pm after 10.5 hours of travel. We had ascended 3300 feet and descended 4300 feet. Huge first day!!
