Fun Fact: Modem shoes were designed for horseback riding because the wealthy had horses and needed their feet to fit into the stirrups without sliding out while riding. So, they were pointy on the front with a cleat in the back to lock the foot in place. These cleats gave the illusion of the rider being taller. Thus, the high-heal shoe was born.

They really make a huge difference. Be it lifting weights, running or simply walking. Idk why bad shoes are still continued at all. The changes in comparison to a normal shoe are so simple and logical, yet so effective and game changing. Never wanna go back.

I've started wearing larger boot sizes on the job. I've gained more stability and have less foot pain. There's a tip if you have OSHA requiring steel toed boots.

I would love to see more barefoot shoes in commercial stores like Nordstrom, Footlocker, DSW, etc. It would also be cool if major companies like Nike and Adidas can still make their iconic shoes, while also making them good for your foot health. A mix of fashion along with the barefoot benefits should be completely standard. They need to also be sold at minimalist prices along with being more readily available. I’ve bought shoes once online, not the best decision that I made. They didn’t fit, even though I got the size that I usually wore. It’s best if they had it at shoe stores.

Those are probably fine for the jym. I've tried zero stack height shoes outside and they suck for most of the year in Colorado. The problem was my feet would get incredibly cold. Because there's zero instalation between the ground and it being cold here most of the year. My feet would be water temperature it was outside. So they would only be viable for maybe four months out of the year. Their also not grate for the trails as the sharp granite on most of the trails tear them up. I prefer Altra Loan Peaks. They're zero drop with a wide toe box and I think the stack height is 6mm. They are my perfect shoe.

For everyone complaining about the price, think about how much more it will cost you in medical bills when your current shoes destroy your feet and possibly other joints overtime.

The ultimate barefoot shoe was, is and will always be, the Vibram FiveFingers. It is wider in the toes area than any other shoe, it even spreads the toes slightly apart, while at the same time is the most secure and stable shoe due to the toe pockets. No other shoe can achieve that, since the wider and roomier the toe-box is, the more unstable and floaty the foot inside the shoe becomes.
