The BEST Productivity Feature in Google Docs!

📄 If you type the “@” symbol within Google Docs, you’ll now be able to access the HIDDEN menu! This is THE BEST Productivity Feature in Google Docs and in this video we’ll break down some use cases of this secret menu!

This new Google Docs feature is called Smart Chips and it’s part of the Smart Canvas update that was announced by Google during their Google I/O event.

Basically, Google is bringing their different products across their Google Workspace offering together - Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, Keep, Tasks, etc. - and creating something that’s greater than the sum of its parts.

With this Smart Canvas update, Google Docs got access to these Smart Chips and as you will see in this video, one of the biggest benefits of using Smart Chips within Google Docs is that the Smart Chips are dynamic; if the title of a smart chip updates, that change will be made everywhere else (as opposed to a static hyperlink)

Nice video. But how would I insert a pre-created form or list into a Google doc? In other words, i have a list of screening questions that I want to simply insert into the doc whenever I have a new interview (similarly to how you would import a meeting date and name using Building Blocks in one click). I'm using Google docs as my own dashboard now...instead of Evernote or notion because it's easy to link files and free

But I seem to have a problem where when I search up the file I wanted to use in the smart chip update, I coouldn't find it, I've been trying for months now, but except when I click on the files that I don't want to and then I use the @ to search for more files I saw that there are new files coming in. I thought that was a solution, until it took to long to get to the file I wanted. Do you have any solutions you could share with me?

How do we change the colour of the bookmark tag currently it's blue. I want to make it no colour or white because the blue little ribbons make the document look ugly.
