The problem is not with him doping. For Lance Armstrong, during the 7-year window when he won every Tour de France, 87% of the top-10 finishers (61 of 70) were confirmed dopers or suspected of doping.
The problem is with how he attacked people, the way he treated people. Thats what he did wrong.

Good interview. I am currently battling stage III testicular cancer. Lance reached out to me through a peripheral connection and offered me great advice and hope. There is a lot of good in this man. He is a fighter.

Competing at the tour the france without doping is like competing at the Mr Olympia without steroids.

I have my own opinion on what and how he did and most importantly how arrogant he was back then.(Very)
On the other hand he was the one who got me out of bed @4:30, he was the one who made me ride like a maniac and lose 30+kg and he was the reason I kept saying myself, if a cancer survivor can win TdF I can take on anything.
I cant count how many times I have ridden in freezing winter or how many times I went to the gym so early that nobody was there. Funny enough I enjoyed most of it as I felt extremely strong.

Long story short: It might as well have been an illusion as I never met him, but for me he was and he is a great inspiration.

If he knew he could get away with it, he’d do again. U can see it in his eyes.

Doping, ok , but the way he fought the widow of a fellow cyclist and ruined other peoples life to keep his secret was inhuman and discusting .

The system was eventually going to produce someone like Lance. Inevitable.

Having just watched the 30 for 30 doc, and rewatching this interview again, leaves me with the exact same feeling - everytime I hear Lance explain the past, I have this overhelming need to take a shower....

About 200 km's everyday for 3 weeks up and over mountain passes . It seems almost impossible to achieve the times they do today without Doping.

What really bothers me is what happened to Pantani. Who cares about Armstrong, he’s ALIVE.

Tirico did a really good job here. He asked a few difficult questions but they never felt forced or combative. I was also impressed that he was willing to admit that NFL guys are on drugs, too. Cycling is no more dirty than any other sport. The other sports just do a better job of sweeping doping under the rug.

He stabbed his best friends in the back, cheated on his sport, lied to his fans. What a hero!!!

Stuart Scott just before Lance’s Oprah Winfrey interview...
“I’m very grateful" for Armstrong's anti-cancer efforts: "I don't care about a bike race. I'm fighting cancer and trying to stay alive for my daughters. ... (Armstrong's) efforts that affected millions of people with cancer is his legacy. And you're not going to argue me off that."
