This is absolutely the best modern Tour de France. Its the 100 year anniversary. Thankfully I have it on 5 DVDs. I've watched it over and over. Thanks.

@Classic Cycling....Thanks a lot for this awesome video. It's a pleasure to watch the epic TdF 2003. Especially to see Jan Ullrich riding. What a man! What a style! Like a turbine, smooth and so powerful. I have never seen before and later such a beautiful style. I'm getting goosebumps every time I see Jan riding. No one compares to him, he was unique with his powerhouse and huge stamina. So sad, that these times are gone

Surely one of the best Tours ever. As a German my focus was always on Ullrich, but the main contender 2003 was Beloki.
I remember feeling the pain of his crash and hearing him cry on the tarmac still gives me shivers.
Obviously the drama is what makes the 2003 Tour, but imagine what a race it would have been without that crash.
Vinokourov also stepped up that year.
Fans were really treated in 2003.

Thanks for the upload, I laughed at millars coughs, screamed #ulleistsauber and teared up a little when I saw a somewhat missing comedian at the end 🙏

I'm in the middle of Tyler Hamilton's book. It gives amazing insights into the details of this tour. Dopers galore!

I really liked getting to see this considering I was only 1 when this race happened. Thank you

The reporters always asked David Miller. He's probably the funniest guy in the tour😂

To think that This is 18 years ago is mesmerizing

even if it sounds crazy, IMO the crash helped Lance by cracking Jans Rhythm, since he waited, Lance himself was able to change Rhythm, Jan was not with his riding style, plus that huge shot of adrenaline for Lance.... Jan was never closer to beat Lance, was so sad back than, but great race, thx for upload

2:10:46 "might be heading to a 'glowing' victory" - 'Glowing' is the term the riders used for when they had just doped up and were most vulnerable to tests :D

I still find it curious, after all these years, that the closest Jan Ullrich got to beating Armstrong was when he wasn't riding for Telekom/T-Mobile. Some of their team selections (such as dropping Cadel Evans for Rolf Aldag) and their tactics just didn't make sense !

1:06:30 Tyler Hamilton finished Alpe de Huez with a broken collarbone. He is the real champ and probably would have crushed Lance if it weren’t for the stupid crash

When Lance goes off-road after the crash and re-enters, brilliant bit of biking!
