Vladimir Putin's leadership and the current state of Russia are complex, misunderstood, and embedded in shadows. In this video Konstantin Samoilov, discusses the dichotomy between Putin's perceived vulnerabilities and his ability to maintain power, the resilience he has shown in the face of challenges, and the implications of Russia's economic situation.

We discuss the notion of collapse in Russia, emphasising that while the economy may be faltering, Putin's grip on power remains strong. The dialogue highlights the intricate dynamics of power, control, and the political landscape in Russia.

Putin was already 10x very lucky. But his time will come when his luck will run out.

Nothing seemed to happen in Syria either, for a long time.. then in 12 days. Syria which closely followed the Putin doctrine on ruling (by fear and repression, ofcourse)

History has a bad habit of repeating it self. Hitler, Mussolini, Gaddafi, Ceausescu, Marcos, Amin, Assad it just takes one hesitation or wrong move & your gone.

It s fun to see Konstantin in a shorter version, as long videos can lack clarity and concision.

♥I saw Prigozhin as a far bigger threat to the world than Putin. Fortunately Shoigu and Gerasimov were able to flee Rostov on Don before they could be captured as they were two of the three that held the nuclear codes (Putin the third). Prigozhin was forced to act (march) prematurely and he and his pro-nationalist colleagues on the Security Council were caught flat-footed.

Thanks to his ownership of the Internet Research Agency Prigozhin was warned of what would happen if he continued with his existential threat to the Kremlin and backed off. Meanwhile Putin continues the destruction of the Russian military and its economy and I hope he stays in power for at least another year.♥♥♥

Konstantin, I have a question:
Given Hungary and possibly the US too are possibly going to block the continuation of sanctions, how will that play out? So I am looking for an analysis of Russia’s situation with highly reduced sanctions (assuming some nations will continue individually).

What Konstantin is describing sounds like Russia is going to sh1t rather than collapsing.
Hypothetically speaking, if events unfolded in such a way that the Russian Federation broke apart into a handful of new countries, would that be a collapse? a Russia of sorts would still exist even though it'd be far smaller than the current Russian Federation

Putin has the FSB. The FSB didn't have Wagner because they didn't need to until recently. That all got re-organized so that does not happen again. Disloyalty among the strongest under Putin is an opportunity for an assassin to climb the ladder. I imagine a loyal "concern" within the FSB developing as Putin ages. We will not like the successor. It's entirely possible the world might see Putin's term as a preferable time. But the Russian military and economy has been weakened. Putin and the new leader will always be looking to turn that around through the sale of commodities and influencing the price of those commodities. Ergo Venezuela, that used to produce 3 million bbl of oil per day. Under Russian influence, that nation produces about 1 million bbl per day.
