Using diesel fuel to flush engine -will it work ??

I did this with a horribly sludge up engine. Man best results ever clean everything.

I have also used diesel to flush the crankcase. Last one I did was a 4.3 Chevy V6 that had a slightly blown headgasket and had mixed the coolant and oil. The diesel cleaned it out back to almost new. Certainly works. I recommend it actually.

I intend to do this, mine is smoking and i feel its the piston rings, valve stems, etc,mechanic said he would open top cylinder.i am against it cos i know after that, my engine will never be the same.so let me go diesel way.1liter mobil, 1liter diesel.mix together and pour inside engine, place foot at 2000rpm for 10mins, drain, refil, add stop smoke additives and fire the engine for 40mins. .my engine must never smoke again.i hope it will work as planned.

I used mineral turps in my V8 Mercedes and it worked well oil is clean now, i added a 1 litre to the motor..

I ran 2 quarts of diesel in my 6 quart capacity vehicle and flushed. It drove it around for four minutes came home, drained it.

I don’t think I’d advise running the engine with it in. I’d let it fully drain the diesel then flush with a qt of clean, replace the drain plug, prime the filter and gasket, check oil lvl and purity visually, let sit for 10 minutes and check level again. Then crank the engine up. I don’t think I’d do this though as any gaskets that aren’t designed to be in contact with fuel will absolutely get gushy and will cause leaks, not to mention 35-50 psi oil pressure that will push against said gaskets and compound the problem.

That said, every oil change i actually run some clean oil through until I see a “swirl” of dirty and clean dripping. I flush with the clean when the dirty begins to drip drops rather than pouring so I know most of the dirty is out already and I’m getting the cleanest oil change possible without adding harsh abrasive chems where they don’t belong. I check my oil pan and that thing shines clean, no glitter in my oil and none in the filter.

1 is to one ratio is the best flush it. use diesel liter and add 1 liter engine oil and mix it add use it yo flash engine

I have a 2020 ram 1500 hemi, the gas station filled it with diesel. The car ran for more than 1/2 tank before knowing. Removed it, changed plugs. Awaiting a week dealer appt. It misfires horribly now

12 ounces only. Doubt it. But then I've never tried it
