Round one:
+12 double crochet

Round two:
+12 dc = 24 dc
2, 1, 2, 1, 2 etc

Round three:
+12 dc = 36 dc
2, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2 etc

Round four:
+12 dc = 48 dc
2, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2, etc

Round five:
+12 dc = 60 dc
2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 etc

Round six:
+12 dc = 72 dc
2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, etc

Miscounting can trick you into getting it to curl, and it just takes time and practice to count your own stitches. Hope this can help someone. ❤

I watched a lot of videos but couldn't find one that taught very clearly. Now I finally saw your video. It was very clear and slow, so it was easy for us newbies to understand and we wanted to continue learning. Thank you very much.

As a novice, I found your instructions very easy to follow. My first flat circle turned out just the way it should. The magic circle I still struggle with, but I'm determined to master it. Thank you so much.

Thanks to this video I got it! I watched a lot of videos that had a lot more views & likes (I was recommended them first on here) but didn't understand the very basic thing of how you include the tail and circle in the very first stitches, and was getting frustrated, but this was shown perfectly! Then how to continue and where to put your stitches was shown clearly! thank you!

Thank you for the tutorial! This is the best one yet. I didn't know to only increase on certain ones after the 2 row and I was increasing on each one. Made my project all scrunched up.

This was one of the best tutorials I have seen. I don't know why people are saying it is unclear or they can't understand it because I'm in a room full of kids playing and being loud and I understood perfectly. I am a beginner also. Thank you so much! I'm going to make my daughter a pillow using this pattern!☺️

THis was the easiest pattern to follow! I will save it for my bath mat. Although it it not come out perfect because I got distracted and messed up the count and ended up with too many stitches. I still LOVE this pattern and will do it again.

Thank you so much for the detailed instructions, and the close ups. I just realised I was counting the chain up as a stitch. 😊

Thank you so much for the clear instructions. As a first time crochet project, I was able to make 5 circles that turned out great. Still had a leaving curve, but practice makes perfect. 😊

I had to play this at 1/4 speed & it still took me half a day to get the four steps in making 1 double stitch. Wish it could play at 1/8 speed. Kept missing a bit of a stitch out, or poking the needle through deosil instead of widdershins, & ended up with some peculiar looking stitches ~ I had to unravel my work 100 times!

It didn't help that no one told me I shouldn't have started with deep purple wool by candlelight. 😂 would ha helped if I could see what I was doing ... next time, big needle with thick white or pastel wool in daylight, I think !

But I did manage to do 16 stitches that looked okay after a very long time. So salut to you ~~~ nobody else could teach me anything at all. E.g. I once tried to knit a cardigan & gave up trying to finish it after 14 years. Does my head in that folks keep saying "it's so easy."

It really isn't easy till you've got it & if, like me, you have dyslexia, dyscalcula & dyspraxia all at once, it's murder! Thanks for being the person on the Internet who's got it thru to me..!

Thank you for explaining so well and clearly. It took me a while to get it as I haven’t done crochet in a very long time. But after I got the hang of it, it was all good.
