IAF, MOD needs to codevelop new jet engines with Safran, France or UK. Government should spend few billion dollars if required for jet engine development.

From day one I ve been saying it'll be a grave mistake n a big blunder to partner US for engines. We should ve gone with French M88 or Russian AL 31FP. When will the govt realise that having our own engines are so critical and it should be properly funded.

Why not simplify it and say, India wasted precious time and years not developing its own engine technology. While our neighbors are going ahead with whatever jet engine technology they have, we are waiting until we have achieved super expertise perfection in the jet engines tech.
