How Do We Pray in the Spirit?

I think part of what it means to pray in the Spirit is to open ourselves up to the Spirit's help as we pray and to pray with an attitude of resting in God.

Praying in the spirit, going into our secret place, closing the door, and being in the presence of God. Letting Go and letting the Holy Spirit flow in words we cannot understand & also talking sentences we do understand. Trusting that God will hear us and answer our peayers. Amen 😊

I agree with John Piper that the references to praying in the Spirit in Eph 6:18 and Jude 1:20 are not specifically about praying in tongues, although prayer in tongues would be a kind of praying in the Spirit.

We often make things more complicated than what they really are when it comes to Biblical things. Praying in the Spirit is probably just the opposite of praying in the flesh, or from the flesh..
