Hey Pilot Pete: how do you get your preferred work days? Does crew scheduling give you a schedule for the month, and then you negotiate from there?

Your job is similar to blue collar workers in the sense that so much of your job is controlled by a union contract and work rules. There are some downsides to being a pilot compared to a blue collar worker: you don't always get to sleep in your own bed every night, there is a lot of time away from home that you are not actually getting paid for, etc. And it must be boring as hell in the cruise phase of a long flight hahaha.

Common blue collar workers work double the days, in horrifying conditions. Not 14 days where they sit down and nap lol XD
