Do Pilots Need Passports?

In this video, Commercial Airbus Captain, Mark, explains how often he uses his passport in his day-to-day work as an airline pilot, explaining where he flies to, and if he'll need to use the passport during the flight, landing, arrival, departure, and if he even takes the passport travel documents with him!

This is a UK specific explanation. In most other European countries we show our passport to go airside and once again when we come back. So basically everyday.
