Pecan pie fail 🥧 #shorts

Well I’m only human and don’t get everything right, I think it’s important to show the failures as well as the wins. This is my favourite sweet pie so we will be back with an improved version ✌️

No recipe until it’s right.

My Mom had 3 full grown Pecan trees in her yard. Don't know if she knew how to make Pecan pies, but she learned. Miss that food she made and miss her.

As a southerner and an expert on pecan pie you should chop the pecans first at least in a rough chop. add the filling to the pecans so you can get a good even mixture then add it to your pie shell.

Thanks for sharing this video Andy as sharing this as a reminder that we all fail sometimes whatever it is be it for example you failing at making the pastry, exams at school, completing an important task at work etc yet this shows that we're all human. We need to remember when something we can't do if we believe we can do it, we can or even sometimes if it gets too much for us, it's okay to admit defeat.

The secret to a perfect crust is lard, it just makes a flakier crust and the dough comes together more easily! This pie still looks absolutely delicious!
