Whatever you do. Do not open your surface at all. If you need help down the line, even if you want to pay for repairs out of warranty. Microsoft will give you the middle finger and do nothing to help you. Lesson learned and glad it was only a gift. Definitely don’t recommend buying these overpriced tablets when many other company’s have similar specs for cheaper.

Please. Don't buy framework company. instead invest with them to make the industry adopt more reparable designs. We are so exaust of buy another device and throw the old one away instead repair. belive or not we create emotional laces with our gadgets.
